Policy Dilemma

If the aggressive stance of the established power in Western Hemisphere on the Rakhine crisis leads to impose economic and other sanctions on the fragile democratic nation, then it definitely would push Myanmar away from the ambiguity of choosing strategic partners to bangwagoning the emerging power which has heavily invested in it for the energy security. Amidst a potentiality of becoming a thucydides battlefield between the established and the emerging powers, choosing either democratic norms or long term national interests would be a policy dilemma for the infant government of Myanmar.
