Amending the constitution has principally been agreed by all the stakeholders in Myanmar political hermisphere including the previous government, the current government, the Tatmadaw, the ethnic armed organizations, the political parties and other stakeholders. The intention of the NLD was rather radical for this purpose until the establishment of the current government. It seems to me that the radical to moderate shift of the NLD's constitutional amendment orientation is resulted from the experience of administering the complex polity of Myanmar. Up to now, no NLD leadership (except from some idiot fellows) mentions a need of a revolution to change the constitution, and rather says evolution. Unfortunately, the media (especially domestic ones) will never highlight such words as "But we aim to achieve it through #negotiation and through #evolution" because it seems boring and will not escalate the heart-beat of the fatheads, the majority of the people who enjoy their yellow journalism.
