Internet Suppression of NLD

Could the suppression of the NLD government on freedom of expression as a weapon to diminish the voices of the people who has been criticizing the clumsy administrations lead to the renaissance of a BLOG era that had once served as an effective channel for waging a war between young educated soldiers and the supporters of the (so called) democratic activists in the 2000s?
